DIY Peekfreak Cameras Made with Household Rubbish

Peekfreak is a collaborative project between industrial designer Wai Lam and photographer

Yann Huey, both hailing from Malaysia. The aim of the project is create experimental cameras made from household junk (such as plastic food containers, discarded bicycle parts, and floppy disks).  

The cameras offer a "compendium of experimental photography techniques" due to the following constrictions:

• no knobs to adjust your shutter speed
• no lens to focus
• no view finder to crop
• some of the cameras expose the image on the reverse side of the film
• some crop the photographs into a round frame
• some capture the image of the pre-punched film holes onto each photo
