You may have software on your computer already, or you may find inexpensive versions for this simple process.

Examine your XP computer for installed software, Windows Movie Maker. This may generally be found by clicking Start... All Programs... Accessories... Entertainment... Windows Movie Maker. Alternatively, you can find it directly at: C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\moviemk.

[If you do not have this program on your computer, commercial software offers entry-level versions that will perform the same basic functions as Movie Maker. I am familiar with Pinnacle Software, but others are available. Seach the net.]

Import audio or music.

Import images (pictures). Drag to timeline. Adjust duration.

Apply transitions (video effects) between pictures.

Render. AVI file. (Converts timing, layout and individual elements of your project to one complete movie.)

Save to file or burn to CD or DVD.
